- "Mike served as the general contractor for a major renovation of my family's home. There were two things about Mike that really impressed me throughout the process.
First and foremost was Mike's commitment to the highest quality products and installation. After you work with him for a while, you figure out that Mike is a craftsman from a bygone era-the type of guy you cannot easily find these days. Mike obsessed with all the details, and he would stand over his subcontractors and make certain that relatively small jobs were performed according to his exacting standards. Since my family moved back in, I have come to appreciate Mike's attention to detail even more. The other thing that impressed me about Mike was his integrity regarding the financial aspects of the project. I understand that during any renovation, there are unexpected issues that arise and potential additions to the cost which have to be priced when you are under construction. In a sense, you are potentially "over a barrel" in any situation when an additional cost being calculated by a builder who has your house torn apart. But Mike and I worked through the details of each additional charge, and I always believed he was fair and reasonable in the process. What's more, there were several changes driven by his perfectionist nature (as discussed above) that he decided to make but for which he did not charge us, presumably because he believed they improved the end product and needed to be done.
In sum, I was sincerely pleased with Mike's work and recommend his services without hesitation."
